Foodparade - September 8 and 9, 2012

Good news for lovers of good food! The second annual Foodparade will take place on September 8 and 9 in the gorgeous setting that is the Troja Chateau. The best restaurants and chefs in Prague will prepare menus for you to taste with wine, coffee, beer and cocktails from around the world thrown in too. You can also expect culinary and bartender shows, coffee art presentations, discussions with nutrition experts, cooking classes and more! Dvorak Prague Festival 2012 - September 8 to 22, 2012

This festival celebrates the work of Antonin Dvorak, the great Czech composer. Czech and International orchestras will play in the main hall of the astonishing Neo-Rennaisance building of Rudolfinum - a hall named after him! Concerts feature not only the works of Dvorak but also other famous classical music composers, including Mozart, Schubert and Vivaldi. Every year, Prague becomes a center for outstanding orchestras, conductors and performers. Tickets start at 150 CZK and are available online. (w) www.dvorakovapraha.cz.

Celebration of St. Wenceslas - September 14 to 29, 2012

St. Wenceslas is the patron saint of the Czech Republic and Praha celebrates him with a two week festival in September. There will be market stalls offering food, drinks and local crafts, set up on Wenceslas Square, with an entertainment line up to boot.

Ladronkafest - September 15, 2012

Ladronkafest is the largest leisure time festival in central Europe - aimed at giving young people quality outlets for leisure time. There are plenty of options to choose from - with categories including culture, music, art and adrenaline pumping sports. In the event area visitors can participate in a number of activities, try out sports or join creative workshops. There will also be an entertainment itinerary with concerts, DJs, a breakdance show and more. The festival takes place in the Ladronka Park in Prague 6. Entry to the event and all activities are free!

Coldplay - September 16, 2012

Chris Martin and his boys hit Prague on their European tour - supporting their latest album Mylo Xyloto. The cheapest tickets for their show at the Prague Synot Tip Arena are 1200 CZK and are available through Ticketpro.

The View - September 18, 2012

These young lads from Dundee, Scotland will bring their Indie Rock show to Prague's Lucerna Music bar on September 18, 2012. Tickets are 280 CZK and are available through Ticketpro.
