Mosaic House Featured in The New York Times
In recent days, our cutting-edge green efforts have grabbed the attention of local and international publications alike. It all started with The New York Times...and then Treehugger and Prague's own Prague Post took notice. Mosaic House boasts some of the most sophisticated green technology, including solar panels, low-flow raindance showers, the Czech Republic's first greywater recycling unit with heat recuperation and more. We'd like to set the record straight on one point, though. Although the chip ('french fry' to some) oil-powered shuttle retrofit is in the works, it is not yet operational. We are currently driving on conventional gasoline. We are already running the Mosaic House van on chip oil, but the airport shuttle still has to be converted before we fully unveil the 'green machine' (we're still looking for names…if you have any ideas, head over to our facebook page and leave a wall post) to the traveling masses.We're also in the process of collecting as much chip oil from Belushi's Bar and restaurant as we can.
