Mosaic House is committed to pursuing eco-initiatives in an effort to make a difference. A green leader in the hospitality industry, Mosaic House is the first hotel in the Czech Republic to use 100% renewable-source electricity, 100% biogas, and a greywater recycling system with heat recuperation technology. Plus, an intelligent heating and cooling system, solar panels on the roof, energy-efficient lighting, room temperature controlled by occupancy, low-flow toilets, rain dance showers, and an E.ON smart electric drive vehicle, and all in modern style, make for quite the green resume!
Making a Difference:
Being green isn’t always easy. Or cheap. Our 1930s historic building was stripped down and rebuilt to accommodate our eco-technologies. And we have to save our Czech korunas to foot the extra investment to be more eco-friendly. But to us, taking the green route is oh-so-important. With one planet and limited resources, we have a social responsibility to do so. And with a houseful of international guests, we think it will pay off and make an impact around the world.

5 green technologies to be mindful of during your stay:
- Electric shutters
Our energy super-savers automatically open and close to conserve energy. - Automatic lights, controlled by motion sensors
Yes, go ahead and dance. - Your sink and shower waste ‘grey’ water is purified into ‘green’ water and recycled back to the building’s toilets
And during the process, heat is recuperated and used to warm your fresh shower water! - Water recycling unit

5 earth-friendly tips to consider during your stay:
- Reuse your towel and bed linens
Okay, so maybe we are stating the obvious but it's an easy way to conserve energy and water. - Recycle
We make it easy! Notice the bins located near our entrance. - Take a shorter shower
Even though your rain dance shower uses less water than the average, every little bit helps, right? - Visit one of Prague's many green parks
Petřín Hill, Vyšehrad, Letná, and Riegrovy Sady are a few of our favourites. - Donate your 2 euro (50 CZK) key card deposit to ensure Mosaic House can continue using green electricity and gas
